I have always been interested in getting things moving and redesigning. Through my training as a gas and water engineer I was given the opportunity early on to “come to grips” with the products that I am now continuing to develop. But in the long run “coming to grips” was not enough. I also wanted to “grasp”. For this reason I started studying supply engineering and completed my degree with a practice-oriented dissertation. This systematic professional and personal development gave me my entry into Viega, where I can actively help to shape the company’s future as a development engineer in the R&D department. Through professional and targeted work in my discipline I have the possibility of helping the company and myself and of working on the tasks I am interested in and qualified to do in young and flexible project teams. Not only do I now “grasp” more, but I also know why my colleagues are so enthusiastic and take so much pleasure in their work. (Christoph Schreckenberg, Germany)
