Systems for technical gases and fuel gases

Intelligent systems for demanding media
Laboratories – but also large-scale technical facilities – increasingly demand gases of high and super-high purity, with contamination levels in the ppm range. That necessitates absolutely clean installations which do not react with the medium. The Viega Profipress, Profipress G, Sanpress Inox, Sanpress Inox G, Megapress and Megapress G piping systems have proved suitable for conveying a wide range of technical gases and fuel gases.
Technical gases
The generic term “technical gases” refers in general to gases which are used in large amounts for industrial applications. The Technical Rules for Compressed Gases (TRG) categorise gases and gas mixtures according to their properties. These systems can be used to convey many such media:
- Profipress
- Profipress G
- Sanpress Inox
- Sanpress Inox G
- Megapress
Fuel gases
Absolute safety is the most important factor in gas installations. For conveying fuel gases, experts place their trust in Viega’s :
- Profipress G
- Sanpress Inox G

Technical details of the HNBR sealing elements:
- approved for natural and liquid gases in accordance with DVGW Worksheet G 260
- as well as for installations conforming to DVGW-TRGI and TRF
- thanks to the Viega SC-Contur, the DVGW-certified press systems are visibly leaky in the central leakage test.
- the systems meet the requirements of higher thermal resistance (HTR)
- Sanpress Inox G is even approved for HTR requirements up to an operating pressure of 5 bar.

List of media
Viega press connection technology with the Sanpress, Sanpress Inox, Profipress, Prestabo and Megapress systems has proven its value in potable water and building services installations over many years of application. It is increasingly being used in industrial systems which have special operating conditions regarding the pressure, temperature and concentration of the transported media. Careful consideration is required when choosing the pipe and sealing material. The "Fields of application for metal installation systems" information brochure, which is available to download on the right, will make this choice easier.
