Viega Sanpress Inox for industrial installations

The stainless steel pipes and press fittings of Viega’s Sanpress Inox system are ideally suited to distributing cooling and process water, compressed air etc. for industrial usage. Sanpress Inox also provides safe and reliable distribution for detergents, as cheese processors Kruijt Kaasveredeling of Zegveld, the Netherlands, have discovered.

More than the norm

What makes the project at Kruijt Kaasveredeling so distinctive is the high system pressure and the use of detergents, both intended for cleaning the production equipment at the point of production. As Arie Plomp of contractors Plomp Installatietechniek put it: “The requirements cannot be met with just standard solutions. The supplier’s specialist knowledge and experience are vital, and Viega demonstrated its great value when the issue of the pressure in the piping system was raised.”

Sanpress Inox is KIWA approved for use in standard water pipe installations. But the installation at Kruijt called for a system that could also be used at 20 bar. As Arie Plomp said: “The challenge suited Viega perfectly. Based on our specifications the company carried out tests and even gave a guarantee that we could use the Sanpress Inox system in this application up to 20 bar.”

A step up to further success

The result is a fine piece of installation work with Viega’s stainless steel piping system for water, gas, compressed air, nitrogen and detergents. In addition, the copper piping system Profipress was used for the office environment. Arie Plomp looks back at the successful project with satisfaction: “The solution which we and Viega delivered to Kruijt was the preliminary to a subsequent project which is the biggest we have worked on so far."
