Viega pre-wall and drainage technology in historical building
Dubiecko Castle in Poland was built in the mid-sixteenth century and has been refurbished numerous times over the centuries. Today it is a classical palace serving among other things as a hotel. It offers guests 15 rooms in the historical part of the castle, and 25 rooms in the newly built hotel in the castle park. In the bathrooms, Advantix Vario shower channels, Viega Eco Plus pre-wall elements and Eleganta odour traps were installed.
Flexibility was the decisive factor
Old buildings, in which the bathrooms are refurbished, usually require more flexible solutions than buildings designed from the ground up. This is a challenge for architects and for installers of the sanitary systems. The unique properties of Viega products, however, meant that the hotel bathrooms could be designed to uncompromisingly high standards.
Each of the bathrooms in Dubiecko Castle has different dimensions. That’s why the ideal solution was the minimalist Advantix Vario shower channel, whose length can be continuously adjusted from the basic 1200 to 300 mm. This made it possible to individually adapt its length to the width of the shower in each bathroom.
Wide range and elegant design products
The investor also opted for Viega Eco Plus pre-wall elements. The stands allow easy installation and trouble-free operation for many years. The robust, powder coated frame is extremely resistant to deformation and ensures maximum mechanical strength. Other advantages of the system are the height adjustable stands and a large selection of flush plates. The Visign for Style 10 models that were used here perfectly fit the elegant rooms decorated in a minimalistic style. The same can be said of the chrome-plated Eleganta odour traps, which add to the charm of the washbasins, while characterized by their technical excellence.
