Viega systems for heating and drinking water
On the remains of a former summer colony in Cesenatico, Italy, lies the Grand Hotel da Vinci, part of the Select Hotels Collection, a chain of hotels owned by Antonio Batani. This 5 star hotel overlooks the sea and Porto Canale di Cesenatico, designed by Leonardo da Vinci. This is the origin of the name of this luxury hotel, which combines beach life and walks among the fishermen's houses with refined surroundings and excellent customer service. Quality at Grand Hotel da Vinci also penetrates into the walls, where Viega piping systems have been installed.
Profipress and Raxofix
The heating system has been realised using copper pipes as well as Viega Profipress fittings in copper and gunmetal with diameters between 15 and 108 mm. For the drinking water installation Viega’s plastic piping system Raxofix with multilayer PE-Xc pipes and flow-optimised press connectors has been used. Thanks to the extremely reduced pressure losses, Raxofix makes it possible to optimize dimensioning of the drinking water system and therefore limit the water volume in comparison to traditional systems. This results in a much smaller risk of stagnation, the primary cause in the proliferation of harmful bacteria in drinking water installation.
