Construction of a Spa with Viega system technology
The “Source de Cristal” health centre opened 2012 in Perrignier, France, between Thonon les Bains and Annemasse (Haute-Savoie region). Following 10 months of work and costs of 950,000 euros, the centre comprises an area of 600 m² and includes a Turkish bath, jacuzzi, sauna and pool.
Fabrice and Stéphane Monaco are the owners of the Spa and the adjoining restaurant, the Table Verte. Fabrice, also a plumbing and heating installer, designed and built the health centre. He chose Viega systems for the drinking water installation as well as the showers and toilets.
Copper press system from Viega
For the connections within the hot water lines, the installer decided to use Viega’s Profipress piping system in dimensions between DN 12 and DN 35. He combined it with the Smartloop Inliner circulation system which is easier and quicker to install than a traditional system. With the one-pipe principal of Smartloop Inliner technology, supply and return are combined into one pipe. A separate pipe for the circulation water is not required. This reduces the installation costs and saves space and energy.
Design shower channels and flush plates
For the showers within the “Source de Cristal” health centre, the installer chose Advantix stainless steel and glass shower channels. They allow a high drainage capacity as well as easy maintenance.
The toilets in the Spa were equipped with the Visign for More 100 flush plates, finished in black glass for a sleek look.
