Viega system solutions for fire-fighting water systems that are guaranteed to pass inspection

Every year, around 400 people die in Germany as a result of a fire. More than 6,000 people suffer long-term injuries from fire. Professionally planned and installed fire-fighting water and sprinkler units are therefore a vital part of preventative fire safety. Fire-fighting water systems ‘wet’, ‘wet/dry’ or ‘dry’ support effective fire-fighting operations and help to protect people and buildings. Viega’s press technology provides a safe, cost-effective and easy-to-install system solution for this purpose. ‘Dry’ and ‘wet/dry’ fire-fighting water systems in accordance with DIN 14462

For professional and reliable installation – Sanpress Inox up to and including DN65 and Sanpress DN80 in combination with the Viega 1.4521 stainless steel pipe. Proof of suitability of this system solution for use in ‘dry’ and ‘wet/dry’ fire-fighting water systems has been provided in accordance with DIN 14462:2023-07 via VdS approvals. Easy transition to air vents and breather valves with Sanpress Inox plug-in piece (Model 2312.1) and Sanpress Inox reducer (Model 2315.1XL)

Pipe materials

Carry out the piping using pipe material 1.4521 (Model 2205XL) version
riser pipe

All press connections on components of the riser pipe must be made using Sanpress XL DN80.Note: No test certificate available for Sanpress press connections < DN80.

Transition to the service pipes (≤ DN65) using a Sanpress XL T-piece DN80 (Model 2218XL).Another possible version: Sanpress XL T-piece DN80 (Model 2217.2XL).

‘Wet’ fire-fighting water systems in accordance with DIN 14462

For ‘wet’ fire-fighting water systems in accordance with DIN 14462:2023-07, Sanpress Inox, Sanpress, Profipress, Megapress and Megapress S may be used; the recommended solution is Sanpress Inox in combination with 1.4521 pipe.

Sprinkler units: Systems and areas of application

Sprinkler units are fixed, automatically activated fire extinguishing systems which, by delivering water precisely where it is needed as soon as a fire breaks out, delay or completely prevent the spread of fire. They are subject to supervision by specialist certification bodies. For the installation of sprinkler units, Viega offers the ideal solution with Sanpress Inox in combination with 1.4521 stainless steel pipe – with VdS approval.
