We have completely revised and modernised our human resources activities in recent years. During your first two days as a new recruit with us, our Human Resources department will provide you with all the instruction and information (including details of working times, health and safety and fire prevention briefings, tours of the factory, and seminars on IT security) necessary to ensure a successful start to your career within Viega.
In your first few weeks with us, you will gain an overview of the various company departments and discover more about your own tasks. A range of training sessions will provide you with the technical skills and inter-disciplinary knowledge you will need to fulfil your future role. In parallel with that, you will start working on your first projects, enabling you to make an active contribution from an early stage.
Following the structured onboarding process, ongoing training and continuing professional development measures will be tailored to your personal needs. In dialogue with your manager, you will analyse the upcoming challenges and agree appropriate measures. You will have a choice of over 50 in-house seminars on a wide range of subjects, which you can book in consultation with your manager.
Viega's personnel development programme helps promote the performance capabilities and ongoing development of its employees. The Viega Academy plays a key role in it. The Viega Academy runs training and development courses, and is responsible for ensuring the targeted development of all employees. The Viega Academy thus provides the framework within which all educational, training and development activities are bundled. In doing so, the Viega Academy is underpinning the company's vision by supporting the necessary change, as well as assisting all managers to fulfil current tasks and confront future challenges through the ongoing development of their staff.
The Viega Academy provides both single courses and complete programmes. Programmes are bundled training activities designed for specific target groups, building progressively within a systematic structure.
All training activities are aligned as a matter of policy to Viega's in-house Competency Model. This means training activities are run not only as conventional attended events, but also in the form of e-Learning and on-the-job schemes.
