Transparency and responsibility
For sustainable growth. And a successful future.
As a family business with a proud 125-year history, our success story has been shaped by many people—above all, our employees. Together, we have built a strong foundation that enables us to actively and boldly shape the future. Our guiding principle is clear: “Installing lifelines for the buildings of tomorrow.”
For us, sustainability is more than a social obligation—it is a strategic priority and essential to Viega’s long-term success. This commitment is reflected in the way we embed sustainable practices across all processes. In recent years, we have established dedicated structures to ensure that our sustainability initiatives are effectively coordinated at an operational level and aligned with our overarching objectives.
We are proud to be part of the United Nations Global Compact, the world’s largest corporate sustainability initiative. This reinforces our commitment to responsible business practices and aligns us with globally recognized principles on human rights, labor, environment, and anti-corruption.
Our approach is guided by the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). From the 17 goals, we focus on those where we can make the greatest impact through our business activities. In addition, we consider national, European, and international sustainability targets.
Transparency is key: we publish an annual Sustainability Report that details our progress, challenges, and actions. It demonstrates how we live up to our promise of being “Connected in quality” on the path toward sustainable transformation.
